Welcome to Djinda-minyi!

We're thrilled to have you visiting us. To ensure everyone has a wonderful time, here are a few friendly guidelines to keep in mind:

  1. Respect Nature: Please leave no trace. Take all your belongings with you when you leave and use our trash, recycling, and/or compost to get rid of waste.

  2. Give Back: We will never charge family and friends to camp on our property, but we will ask you to help out a little bit :) This could look like feeding the chickens, cutting some firewood, or planting some native seedlings.

  3. Campfire Fun: Feel free to enjoy a campfire outside of restricted periods, but please use designated fire pits.

  4. Quiet Nature & Quiet Hours: We love a good campfire story, but please keep noise down from 10 PM to

8 AM to respect our neighbours. Also, please no blasting music.

  5. Pets Welcome: Your furry friends are welcome! Just keep a close eye on them and please clean up after them. We spend a lot of time walking through our property and wouldn't like to step in dog poo.

  6. Water Use: Feel free to use the water facilities, but please be mindful of water conservation. Every drop counts!

  7. Safety First: Keep an eye on children and ensure they are supervised at all times, especially near fire and our balcony edge.

  8. Have Fun: Most importantly, enjoy your time here! Enjoy the here and now, try new things, and soak in the beauty of nature.

Thank you for being such wonderful guests. We hope you have a fantastic camping experience!

Leave No Trace Tips

Don't Spread the Mud Around:

If you've gone hiking somewhere and get mud on your shoes, please use the scrub station near the gate of our property to prevent the spread of dieback.

Enviro Friendly Clean-Up:

Please feel free to use our sinks to clean up your dishes or use biodegradable soap as to not kill plants in and around the camping area.

Avoid Slow Growers:

We have some beautiful patches of moss and lichen on our property. Please avoid walking on and camping on these. Also, please avoid moving logs unnecessarily as they may be home to small critters :)

If brushing your teeth outside, broadcast your toothpaste:

When you’re done brushing your teeth, try to suck all the toothpaste off your toothbrush into your mouth, so you don’t have to rinse it as much. Then drink a tiny a bit of water and swish around to rinse your mouth. Now is the fun part – broadcasting.

The point of broadcasting is to disperse your toothpaste waste over a wider area and spread it out into tiny droplets instead of just a glob of toothpaste on the ground. This way, the toothpaste will be rinsed away with the next rain or even dew very quickly compared to chunks of toothpaste all over the ground.

Use Our Toilet:

When going number two, please use our toilet in the shed and do not dig a hole. We also recommend using the toilets to pee until our barrier shrubs and trees grow in and increase property privacy. Use your discretion if you need to pee on our property as to not be seen by and upset our neighbours.
